Suriya and Mamitha Baiju's ‘Vishwanath And Sons’ has maintained its strong momentum through the opening weekend, with the film crossing the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide within its first three days. Directed by Venky Atluri, the family entertainer witnessed a slight drop in its India net earnings on Sunday compared with the previous day, but remained above the Rs 20 crore mark.

The film has benefited from strong performances in both its Tamil and Telugu versions, while overseas earnings have provided a substantial boost to its worldwide total. With its three-day run, ‘Vishwanath And Sons’ has also reached the Rs 100 crore milestone faster than Suriya's previous release, ‘Karuppu’.

‘Vishwanath And Sons’ day 3 box office collection

According to Sacnilk, ‘Vishwanath And Sons’ collected Rs 20.55 crore net in India on Sunday, its third day in theatres. The figure represents a 7.6 percent decline from Saturday's Rs 22.25 crore. Despite the dip, the film remained comfortably above the Rs 20 crore mark for a second consecutive day.

The film had opened with Rs 15.35 crore on Friday before witnessing a significant jump in collections on Saturday. With Sunday's earnings added, its three-day India net total has reached Rs 58.15 crore.

The India gross collection stands at Rs 67.22 crore, while overseas markets have contributed another Rs 43 crore. This takes the film's worldwide gross to Rs 110.22 crore after three days.

Tamil, Telugu versions maintain strong occupancy

The film's performance across its regional versions has contributed to its healthy weekend numbers. On Sunday, the Tamil version registered an overall theatre occupancy of 57.58 per cent.

The Tamil shows began the day with 38.15 percent occupancy in the morning before climbing to 65.77 percent during the afternoon. Evening shows recorded 64.69 percent occupancy, while the night shows stood at 56.31 percent.

The Telugu version posted even stronger numbers, recording an overall occupancy of 72.86 percent. Morning shows registered 56.67 percent, with afternoon occupancy rising to 79.58 per cent. The evening and night shows recorded 67.75 percent and 66.92 percent, respectively.

Tamil Nadu leads India's regional contribution

Tamil Nadu remained one of the biggest contributors to the film's domestic performance on Day 3, generating Rs 9.50 crore in gross earnings. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed another Rs 9.50 crore.

Karnataka added Rs 2.90 crore, while Kerala contributed Rs 1.50 crore. The remaining Indian markets accounted for around Rs 35 lakh.

The film's Sunday figures came from 4,876 shows across the country, indicating continued audience interest as it entered the second week of its theatrical run.

‘Vishwanath And Sons’ becomes Suriya's fastest Rs 100 crore grosser

The film's worldwide milestone also gives Suriya another major box office achievement in 2026. The production house, Sithara Entertainments, announced on Sunday that ‘Vishwanath And Sons’ had crossed Rs 100 crore worldwide within two days of release and celebrated the feat by calling the film a “BlockbusterVAS”.

The achievement comes after ‘Karuppu’, Suriya's earlier 2026 release directed by RJ Balaji, which went on to cross Rs 300 crore worldwide. While ‘Karuppu’ took three days to enter the Rs 100 crore club, ‘Vishwanath And Sons’ reached the milestone in two days, making it Suriya's fastest film to achieve the mark.

With its Rs 110.22 crore worldwide gross after three days, Vishwanath And Sons has strengthened Suriya's box office run this year, while its steady weekend performance has set the film up for another strong phase at the theatres.
