Actor Vishal has confirmed his attendance at the inaugural public meeting of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), the new political party launched by actor Vijay. Speaking at a charity event in Chennai, Vishal stated that regardless of whether he receives a formal invitation, he will attend the meeting as a voter and will enjoy the experience.
According to Tamil media, Vishal stated that the main focus is to hear what Vijay has to say, particularly in comparison to other politicians, and to understand his plans for the people. He emphasised that a special invitation is not required to attend, and participating in the event does not necessarily mean joining TVK.

The grand event is scheduled to take place on October 27 in Vikravandi, a town in the Villupuram district, where massive arrangements are being made for the meeting. Vijay, the party’s leader, is said to arrive in cinematic style, with a 100-foot-high flagpole to raise the party flag, and a new road being constructed to lead him to the venue, spanning approximately 1.5 kilometres. Additionally, several acres of land have been allocated for parking, and the venue will be equipped with five entry gates and 15 exit gates for the public.
The venue will be closely monitored, with 500 CCTV cameras installed for surveillance. Lighting arrangements include 1,000 electric poles, which will support approximately 15,000 lights to illuminate the area.
A special ramp will be built, spanning 800 metres, to enable Vijay to move from the stage to the crowd. Due to ongoing preparations, the public will not be allowed access to the event site from Tuesday to Saturday prior to the meeting.
The event is expected to attract several thousands of people from across 38 districts of Tamil Nadu, and participants are also expected to attend from neighbouring states such as Kerala** and Andhra Pradesh. Vijay has stated that the meeting will serve as a response to questions about his political ambitions and the direction his party plans to take ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
