Actors Rashmika Mandanna, 29, and Vijay Deverakonda, 36, are now officially married, marking the end of years of speculation surrounding their relationship. Production house Milagro Movies announced on Monday that the couple tied the knot at 10:10 am.

The pair, who appeared together in the films ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Dear Comrade’, had reportedly been in a relationship for seven years before publicly confirming it earlier this week.

Wedding rituals

The wedding celebrations began on February 26, with a formal reception for the groom’s side, where Rashmika Mandanna’s family extended a customary welcome to Vijay Deverakonda and his relatives. As part of the traditions, they presented offerings such as coconuts, betel leaves, fresh fruit, sweets and the ceremonial turmeric and kumkum.

Rashmika’s bridal wardrobe reflected a refined blend of heritage and luxury. Her carefully chosen muhurtam outfit was curated to match the cultural significance of the rituals, according to media reports.

Star actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are set to tie the knot on Thursday in Udaipur. As per a Moneycontrol report, the duo will observe two wedding ceremonies on the same day – a traditional Telugu ritual in the morning in keeping with Deverakonda’s family customs, followed by a Coorg (Kodava) ceremony for Mandanna’s side. The Kodava rites are expected to begin at 4 pm.

Couple embraces ‘Virosh’

On Sunday evening, the couple thanked their supporters in a joint message, saying they warmly accepted the fan-coined name “Virosh” for their union. The note marked the first time they openly acknowledged their long-rumoured relationship, which had grown alongside frequent public appearances and on-screen chemistry.

Pre-wedding festivities in Udaipur

The celebrations began with traditional Haldi and sangeet ceremonies, followed by a string of themed events. Among the standout pre-wedding moments was the playful “Virosh Premier League” cricket match, alongside pastel-coloured décor and curated family rituals.

A particularly emotional highlight came during the sangeet, when Deverakonda’s mother gifted Mandanna a pair of heirloom bangles, symbolising her formal welcome into the family.

Hours after confirming their wedding plans, the couple arrived in Udaipur, choosing the lake city for its privacy and scenic backdrop. They opted for a closely guarded ceremony attended only by immediate family members, keeping media access to a minimum.

Actor Kalyani Priyadarshan has been dropping subtle hints that she is part of the wedding festivities, sharing a series of celebratory looks on social media. The ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ star posted selfies in a bright yellow saree, another traditional draped ensemble, and a black, shimmering Indo-Western outfit – offering glimpses of the ongoing events without disclosing the venue.

Meanwhile, according to reports, the couple extended a considerate gesture to photographers stationed outside the wedding. Despite tight security restricting media access, the duo reportedly arranged lunch and dinner for the paparazzi at the venue. Meals have been organised for the press from 24 February and will continue through the three-day celebration, ensuring they feel acknowledged even with limited proximity to the ceremonies.

A private ceremony

Both actors had long maintained silence about their personal relationship, despite public curiosity and frequent sightings together. Their wedding – intimate, understated and shielded from cameras – reflects the deliberate privacy they have preserved throughout their time together.
