As 'Vadakkan' gears up for its release, Offbeet Studios has unveiled the first look of the intense paranormal thriller. Directed by Sajeed A, the film features a stellar team, including Oscar and BAFTA-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, music by Bijibal, and Japanese cinematographer Keiko Nakahara.

The film has already generated buzz on the international stage, winning multiple accolades at various prestigious film festivals. 'Vadakkan' was selected for the Gala Screening at Cannes' Fantastic Pavilion, won Best Supernatural Thriller at the Fright Night Film Festival in the U.S., and took home Best Feature Film at the RED Movie Awards in France.

The movie stars Kishore, Shruthy Menon, and Merin Philip in leading roles. Kishore plays a paranormal investigator who is called in to solve a series of brutal murders connected to an ancient cult ritual. As he digs deeper into the mystery, he encounters a deadly spirit from Dravidian folklore, pulling him into a terrifying world where the lines between myth and reality blur.

The first-look poster for 'Vadakkan' teases a supernatural narrative deeply rooted in Kerala’s cultural landscape. Director Sajeed A explained that the intention behind the first look was to create an immersive experience: "We wanted the first look of 'Vadakkan' to be more than just a visual—it had to be an immersive experience. The challenge was simple yet profound: How do you make an image talk? That’s exactly what we set out to achieve."

“The idea was to craft an image deeply rooted in Kerala, capturing the gradual descent of a paranormal investigator into a mythical rabbit hole—where reality blurs and the supernatural takes hold. We wanted to evoke curiosity and unease, making audiences feel like they’ve stepped into the unknown before they’ve even seen the film,” he adds while raving about the impressive film poster.

With performances by Kalesh Ramanand and Maala Parvathi, a haunting score by Bijibal, and an evocative script penned by Unni R, 'Vadakkan' has already been showcased at numerous international film festivals. It was an official selection at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, Echelon Studios International Film Festival in Los Angeles, and was featured in the Marche du Film at Cannes.

The film will be dubbed in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu, broadening its reach to a larger audience.
