The upcoming multilingual film ‘Aasha’, headlined by acclaimed actors Urvashi and Joju George, has officially gone on floors with a traditional pooja ceremony at the Thrikkakkara Vamana Moorthy Temple.

Marking the beginning of the shoot, Joju George, cinematographer Madhu Neelakandan, and director Safar Sanal lit the ceremonial lamp. Joju performed the first clap, while Madhu Neelakandan handled the camera switch-on, signalling the film's commencement.

Joining the lead pair in pivotal roles are veteran actor Vijayaraghavan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Ramesh Girija, best known for his performance in ‘Pani’.

The title-look poster of ‘Aasha’ was also revealed during the launch, generating buzz among cinema enthusiasts and hinting at the film's broader appeal.

Directed by debutant Safar Sanal, ‘Aasha’ is presented by Ajith Vinayaka Films and produced by Vinayaka Ajith. The story is penned by Safar Sanal, with the screenplay and dialogues collaboratively written by Joju George, Ramesh Girija, and the director himself.

The film is being shot in five Indian languages, emphasising its pan-Indian vision.

Behind the camera, the technical team includes Madhu Neelakandan as cinematographer, Shan Mohammed as editor, and Midhun Mukundan handling the music composition.
