Mumbai: T-Series and Panorama Studios have officially revealed the title and first-look poster of their upcoming Malayalam film, now named UNMADHAM, confirming that the Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose-starrer will hit theatres on August 7, 2026.

The project, earlier known as “Panorama Studios Production No. 3,” has been positioned as a psychological thriller with investigative elements. The announcement was made on Saturday, along with the release of the film’s first-look poster, offering audiences a glimpse into its intense and unsettling tone.

Presented by T-Series and Panorama Studios, UNMADHAM marks the directorial debut of editor-filmmaker Kiran Das.

The narrative follows a police constable struggling with a fragile family life who reopens a long-unsolved case that carries suspected supernatural undertones. As the investigation deepens, the boundary between reality and psychological distortion begins to blur, pushing the protagonist into an increasingly unstable emotional state.

The makers have described UNMADHAM as a layered psychological drama rooted in suspense and human conflict. According to the production team, the film focuses on how unresolved trauma and obsession can distort perception, turning a routine investigation into a personal psychological battle.

Producer Bhushan Kumar said the film combines emotional depth with a gripping narrative structure, while Panorama Studios’ Kumar Mangat Pathak highlighted its grounded storytelling approach. Producer Abhishek Pathak added that the central conflict lies in the protagonist’s gradual psychological unravelling as the case progresses.

Lead actor Kunchacko Boban noted that his character is driven by internal conflict and doubt, while Lijomol Jose emphasised the emotional realism embedded in the story despite its thriller backdrop.

The film is written by National Award-winning writer Shahi Kabir, with music composed by Mujeeb Majeed. The technical team also includes cinematographer Arjun Seth and editor-director Kiran Das.
