Peerumed: The Chengalchoola colony youth who recreated the 'Ayan' movie song with limited resources will be making it to the big screen. Their first day’s shoot in the Arjun Sarja- Nikki Galrani starrer ‘Virunnu’ directed by Kannan Thamarakkulam was completed succesfully on Friday.

They kidnap Nikki in the movie. They will be an active presence in the climax scenes along with Arjun.

12 friends from Rajaji Nagar of Thiruvananthapuram recreated the ‘Pala Palakura’ song from the 2009 movie as a tribute to Surya on his birthday. Their dance and the making of the video quickly gained attention on social media. "Loved it," Surya reacted to the video on Twitter.


They performed well on the first day of the shoot, filmmakers said. They have a 16-day long schedule. Mukesh, Asha Sarath, Aju Varghese, Harish Peradi, Dharmajan Bolgatty also part of the movie.
