Actor Antony Varghese Pepe has reflected candidly on what he described as one of the most physically and emotionally demanding years of his life, recounting a series of injuries and a serious road accident that marked much of 2025.

In a heartfelt New Year message shared on social media, the Malayalam film star revealed that he spent nearly three-quarters of the year in hospitals and enduring pain, following a gym injury and an accident that occurred during a film shoot. Adding to the ordeal was a major road accident in Vagamon on 15 November 2025, which left him with lot of injuries.

Despite all the hardships, the action king struck a lighter tone, saying, “They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but I think 2025 took that a little too literally.”

Pepe recalled that he and two others who were travelling with him narrowly escaped with their lives. While his first and much-loved car was declared a total loss, he credited the vehicle with saving all three occupants. The actor also spoke of his long-held belief in the symbolism of the car’s registration number, 1818, and said the incident reinforced his faith, describing it as a moment of divine protection.

Despite the hardships, Pepe emphasised gratitude for survival, remarking that material losses were insignificant compared to life itself. He described 2025 as gruelling, yet not without moments of purpose and creativity. Even while recovering, he continued to work on new projects, filming and laying the groundwork for the future he has long envisioned.

Looking ahead, the actor said he is entering 2026 with renewed enthusiasm, acknowledging the scars left behind but insisting his spirit remains unbroken. Signing off his message with optimism and energy, Pepe wished fans a happy new year, promising to move forward “full on, full power” as he embraces a fresh beginning.
