Director Tharun Moorthy shared insights into his upcoming Malayalam film 'Thudarum' featuring veteran actor Mohanlal.

In a sneak peek shared on YouTube, Moorthy expressed immense satisfaction in presenting the iconic actor in a way that resonates with the essence of a common man, saying, "I was able to present Mohanlal in a way I wanted him to be presented in the movie. It is the greatest joy for me."

The movie focuses on contemporary moments and events, exploring how today’s Lalettan would navigate through them. "We invite you to witness Lalettan as a hero of generations and experience the on-screen chemistry between Mohanlal and Shobana," Moorthy added.

Thudarum is not only Mohanlal’s 360th film but also marks the much-anticipated reunion of the actor with Shobana after 15 years. The duo last appeared together in Sagar Alias Jacky (2009) under the direction of Amal Neerad. Their earlier collaboration was in Mampazhakkalam (2004), directed by Joshiy.

In Thudarum, Mohanlal takes on the role of a taxi driver from Ranni, a small town in Pathanamthitta, reflecting the life of a typical rural villager. The film explores the day-to-day struggles and aspirations of a common man, with the screenplay and dialogues crafted by Tharun Moorthy and KR Sunil.

Produced by M Renjith under the banner of Rejaputhra Visual Media, Thudarum promises to be a compelling journey into the heart of rural life.
