Casting Director Tess Joseph has once again raked up allegations against veteran Malayalam film actor Mukesh, claiming she was summoned to his room multiple times. Joseph initially made these allegations in 2018.

The timing of her renewed allegations coincides with the release of the Hema Committee report, which has recently stirred significant controversy within the Mollywood film industry.

Joseph has detailed that Mukesh, who was a presenter on the Kodeeswaran quiz programme, would persistently call her in her hotel room during an event for which she was the organiser. She described an incident where she was relocated to another room which was next to Mukesh's room. She added that it was her boss who intervened by arranging a flight ticket for her to return home, which she credits with helping her escape the uncomfortable situation.

On Saturday, Joseph took to Instagram to express her faith in the justice system and industry responses. She commented, "We trust these systems to bring us justice, but when I see endless lawyers lining up to defend the state in West Bengal or the silence of an industry on the Hema Committee Report, it feels like justice isn't even the point anymore. It's just some spectacle where the rules are bent to suit those in power."

Joseph further lamented, "How can I trust that things will get better? Trust? It's become a commodity, something I'm not willing to hand out so easily anymore. That deeply saddens me."

Earlier on Sunday, Siddique, chairman of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), and Director Ranjith, chairman of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, both stepped down from their positions. Their resignations come in response to mounting pressure and ongoing investigations into similar allegations.
