Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma, once the internet’s favourite couple, have parted ways, reveals sources. While there had been rumours about the duo planning their wedding, it learned that their romantic journey came to an end just weeks ago.

A source close to the former couple said that despite their breakup, Tamannaah and Vijay continue to share mutual admiration and respect for each other.

"Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma parted ways weeks ago as a couple, but they plan to remain good friends. Both have been working hard in their respective schedules," 

From on-screen to real life

Their love story became public around the release of 'Lust Stories' 2 in 2023, their first project together. Vijay once opened up about their relationship, stating that while they never actively hid their bond, they still valued their privacy. He shared that they had "thousands of pictures just for themselves" and that keeping a relationship secret requires "unnecessary effort, like avoiding public outings or preventing friends from capturing moments."

In an interview on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, Vijay shared his belief that relationships should never feel restrictive. He explained that both he and Tamannaah saw no reason to hide their bond if they truly enjoyed each other’s company.

Acknowledging the public’s fascination with celebrity relationships, the 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack' actor humorously remarked that everyone has an "inner gossip-loving relative eager to discuss relationships." However, he expressed confidence that his work still received recognition despite the curiosity surrounding his personal life.

Tamannaah on her bond with Vijay

Tamannaah also once spoke about her connection with Vijay in an interview with Film Companion. She described their bond as something that developed naturally, adding that she appreciated how Vijay approached her with complete openness, which made it easy for her to do the same.

She even referred to him as "her source of happiness."

Amid the breakup buzz, reports surfaced claiming that Tamannaah and Vijay had deleted all their pictures together from Instagram. However, these claims turned out to be false. Contrary to the speculation, their photos remain visible on their social media accounts.
