Actor Suriya, one of Tamil cinema’s most celebrated stars, turns 50 today, and fans across the globe are pouring in heartfelt wishes on social media. To mark the milestone, the first-look poster of his upcoming action drama Karuppu was unveiled. The poster features Suriya in a powerful mass avatar, dressed in a black shirt and dhoti, radiating intensity. A second poster released by the team shows him wielding a sword, further heightening anticipation for the film.

Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu has also dropped its teaser, which is now out. Suriya shared the first-look poster on his Instagram handle, and fans were quick to respond, flooding the comments with admiration for his bold new look.

Suriya’s last release, Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, fell short of expectations at the box office despite the initial buzz surrounding it.
