Featuring artists playing harmonium, sarangi, sitar, and more, the hauntingly beautiful track promotes James Gunn's new Superman film starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan

As James Gunn’s much-anticipated superhero film ‘Superman’ prepares to hit theatres this week, Warner Bros. India has delighted fans with a unique surprise; a soulful, Indian rendition of the Superman theme that has quickly taken the internet by storm.
The two-minute theme music track showcases a brilliant fusion of traditional Indian instruments. Featuring the harmonium (Tushar Lall), sarangi (Sandeep Mishra), sitar (Prasad Rahane), flute (Hrishikesh Majumdar), and dhol (Pratik Kawale), the piece carries a hauntingly beautiful emotional depth that has struck a chord globally.
Indian fans were stunned by the unexpected crossover, while Superman lovers worldwide flooded the comment sections, praising the track for its rich sound and cultural soul. The music video is already going viral, racking up over 70,000 views in just 10 hours.
The stunning arrangement comes from The Indian Jam Project, led by Tushar Lall. Warner Bros. India brought the project to life with mixing, mastering and orchestration by Abin Thomas.
As the track plays, Superman’s theme colours light up the screen, and a glimpse of David Corenswet as Clark Kent mid-score adds an extra cinematic punch.
Superman (2025)
‘Superman’ marks the first major release from Warner Bros. since its new collaboration with DC Studios, now led by filmmaker James Gunn and producer Peter Safran.
While the trailer has already created plenty of buzz, fans can expect more than just another retelling of Superman’s origin.
Gunn is steering clear of familiar territory. Instead of rehashing Clark Kent’s beginnings, this new take offers a fresh perspective on the beloved character. Gunn knows audiences are tired of the usual superhero formula, and with this film, he aims to reshape how comic-book stories are told on screen.
The story follows Clark Kent, played by David Corenswet, as he struggles to reconcile his Kryptonian roots with life on Earth, living with his adoptive family in Smallville. Rachel Brosnahan takes on the role of Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult will appear as the villainous Lex Luthor.
Fans can also look forward to the introduction of Superman’s superpowered pet, Krypto, a loyal dog with extraordinary abilities, first seen in comics back in 1955. The character is inspired by Gunn’s real-life rescue dog, known for his rebellious streak.
