A troupe of theatre and film actors, including Sunil Sukhada, Sreekumar, and Appunni Sasi, along with playwright K V Ganesh, have departed from Thrissur to Australia's capital, Melbourne, to take part in a Malayalam drama festival.
They will showcase their plays at a well-attended drama festival organised by Samatha Australia and Vipanchika Grandhasala, both active within the Malayali community in Australia.
Sunil Sukhada and Sreekumar are poised to captivate the audience with their performance in the play "Tarzan," presented by Duos Theater, Thrissur. Meanwhile, Appunni Sasi brings his expertise from Kozhikode with the play "Election," both scripted and directed by Jayaprakash Kuloor.
The drama festival is slated for May 11 at the Box Hill Town Hall in Melbourne. Additionally, on May 12, there will be a theatre workshop on Autism and Theatre Therapy, facilitated by Rangachethana Artistic Director K V Ganesh.
