Delhi Police has denied permission for Diljit Dosanjh’s October 30 concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, citing security concerns and law-and-order commitments during the festive season.

Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming concert in Delhi has run into trouble after the Delhi Police refused permission for the event, citing security and law-and-order concerns. The show, scheduled for October 30 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, was set to mark the opening of the singer’s India leg of the Aura Tour.
According to reports, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District, communicated the decision in a letter addressed to ticketing platform BookMyShow. The request to organise the Delhi concert was reviewed but could not be approved in view of the concerns raised by the authorities.
The letter reportedly cited “specific threat-related inputs”, alongside the police’s security responsibilities and law-and-order arrangements during the ongoing festive season.
The decision has cast uncertainty over the much-anticipated concert, with fans awaiting clarity on whether the event will go ahead as planned. Further details regarding the show and any ticket-related arrangements are yet to be announced.
Diljit’s team had continued promoting the October 30 concert on social media as part of the build-up to the India tour.
