“Basil stayed back in Sri Lanka for three more days after completing his portions,” SK reflected on their friendship.

At a pre-release event in Kochi for Parasakthi, actor Sivakarthikeyan confirmed that actor Basil Joseph will be making a cameo appearance in the film. Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, is set to release on January 10.
With Vijay’s Jana Nayagan postponed, Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi will hit theatres first this Pongal season. There is palpable excitement around the Sudha Kongara directorial, which features Ravi Mohan in a negative role.
Promotions have been in full swing for what is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, with the lead actor, Sivakarthikeyan, himself taking center stage. Young sensation Sreeleela will play the female lead in Parasakthi.
As fans eagerly await the release of the movie, a candid revelation made by Sivakarthikeyan during the promotional event in Kochi has now become the talking point on social media. Much to the excitement of Malayalam film fans, SK confirmed Basil Joseph’s cameo appearance in Parasakthi. On a lighter note, he mentioned that he made the reveal after checking with his director.
“Basil, my dear friend and a man loved by everyone, will be appearing in the film,” stated SK.
Talking further about the Malayalam actor-director, he added, “I have interacted with Basil a lot. It was a lot of fun. In fact, he stayed back in Sri Lanka for three more days after completing his portions,” reflecting on his friendship with Basil.
Parasakthi, reportedly based on the anti-Hindi agitations of the 1960s, also stars Atharvaa, another budding sensation. While the trailer has raised expectations, the movie is expected to rake in numbers, cashing in on the festive season.
