Actress Sithara was one of the most popular heroines in Mollywood during the 90’s. She won the hearts of the audience with the movies like ‘Mazhavilkavadi’, ‘Chamayam’, ‘Jathakam’ and ‘Guru’. Apart from Mollywood, she proved her talent in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil film industries also. After taking a break from acting, the yesteryear actress made a comeback to Tollywood.
The 47-year-old actress is enjoying her life as single. Recently in an interview, she revealed the reason behind not getting married.
“I was not interested in marriage during my young age itself. Later, I thought I should not get married and I should be firm in this decision. I was very attached to my father. And after his demise also I had no plans to get married. I am finding happiness in my life being single,” said Sithara.
She added that it was her own decision to take a break from acting.
Apart from movies, Sithara is active in television serials too. Sithara was born at Kilimanoor in Thiruvananthapuram district. She is the daughter of Parameswaran Nair, a KSEB official and Valsala.
She made her debut with the movie ‘Kaveri’ in 1986. Later, she acted in more than 30 Malayalam movies.
‘Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal’ was her debut movie in Kollywood. She also acted in Rajnikanth starrer ‘Padayappa’.
In late 2000, she took a break from the industry. Sithara made her comeback to Mollywood with ‘Bharaya Onnu Makkal Moonu’ directed by Rajasenan. After her comeback, she acted in ‘Black Butterfly’ and ‘Saigal Padukayanu’.
