The first single from SS Rajamouli’s globe-spanning epic ‘Globetrotter’ has dropped — sung by Shruti Haasan and composed by MM Keeravaani.

The long-awaited promotional campaign for SS Rajamouli’s next cinematic spectacle, tentatively titled 'Globetrotter' (also referred to as SSMB29), starring Mahesh Babu, is finally gaining momentum. The film’s first single, composed by Oscar-winning music director MM Keeravaani and sung by Shruti Haasan, has been unveiled, marking the first major reveal from the ambitious production that has been in development for over two years.
The track, titled 'GlobeTrotter', was released on YouTube and quickly began trending across social media platforms. Blending Keeravaani’s grand orchestration with Shruti Haasan’s rich, emotive vocals, the song offers a stirring, cinematic experience that perfectly captures the adventurous essence of the film.
Sharing a video from the recording studio with Keeravaani, Shruti Haasan expressed her excitement on Instagram.
“It was a pleasure to sing for MM Keeravaani sir’s musical. What a powerful track… LET IT BANG, GLOBETROTTER. I was seated quietly listening to the sir on the keys. He said he usually begins his sessions with the Vigneswara mantram before anything starts, so I assumed that’s what he was starting to play. Suddenly, I realised it was an appa's song …!and that moment was super special. Thank you, sir, for your kindness and the love and warmth of the entire team that day. Can’t wait for you to listen to the track.”
The release follows a series of carefully timed updates from the makers of 'SSMB29', including the first look at Prithviraj Sukumaran and special video messages from Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra. The buzz around the project, both for its massive scale and the rare collaboration between Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli, continues to grow ahead of the highly anticipated Globetrotter Event.
About Globetrotter / SSMB29
Tentatively titled SSMB29, the film is described as a globe-trotting jungle adventure, a first for both Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu. The superstar is reportedly set to play a rugged explorer, drawing comparisons to the legendary Indiana Jones.
The production, helmed by veteran filmmaker Narayana under the Sri Durga Arts banner, has reportedly filmed across multiple locations, from India to the dense forests of Kenya. Featuring large-scale action sequences and sweeping visuals, 'Globetrotter' aims to redefine the adventure genre in Indian cinema.
With Rajamouli’s proven record of delivering monumental hits such as 'Baahubali' and 'RRR', and Mahesh Babu stepping into one of the most physically demanding and genre-defying roles of his career, expectations are sky-high.
The film is slated for a 2027 theatrical release, with fans and trade analysts predicting it to be one of the most ambitious and internationally appealing projects ever produced in Indian cinema.
