Kochi: The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) is finally taking a firm stand against actor Shine Tom Chacko. The organisation’s internal committee is set to issue a notice to Shine, as attempts to contact him by phone were unsuccessful. The notice will demand a response by Monday regarding the complaint raised by actress Vincy Aloshious.

Monday is expected to be a crucial day for Shine Tom Chacko. If he fails to submit an explanation within the stipulated time, the disciplinary committee will recommend to the general body that he be expelled from the organisation. AMMA’s decision is based on a report submitted by a three-member panel appointed by the association. Although Vincy is not a member of AMMA, the internal committee is deliberating on what action can be taken since Shine is a member.

Members of the film industry have clarified that the internal committee of the film Sutravaakyam will have the final say on disciplinary measures against Shine. Based on that decision, film industry organisations will determine their further course of action. This matter is also expected to be discussed at the Film Chamber’s monitoring committee meeting scheduled for Monday. The meeting will likely address the recurring allegations against Shine.

The producers' guild is also scheduled to meet on Monday. While Vincy’s complaint may not be the main agenda, the allegations against Shine Tom Chacko could come up during the discussions.

The internal committee of Sutravaakyam is also expected to meet soon.
