Malayalam actor Sharafudheen shared an emotional message ahead of the release of his new film ‘The Pet Detective’, which marks his first project as both lead actor and producer.

Calling it the most important day of his life, he asked his fans to support the movie by watching it in theatres. 
Along with the emotional note, Sharafudheen posted a nostalgic photo of himself sitting beside a poster of ‘Neram’, his debut movie. In the picture, a bucket and brush, tools used for pasting posters, can also be seen.

The actor revealed that he had been holding onto the photo for a long time, waiting for the right moment to share it. “Every time I thought of posting this photo, I felt it wasn’t the right time. But now I know this is the perfect time,” he wrote.

In his heartfelt message, the actor directly addressed his fans and well-wishers, writing:

“To all my dear ones, this is your very own Sharafudheen. For the past 10 to 12 years, I believe I have made you happy through the small and big roles I have played. You have always been with me, applauding me at times and correcting me at others. As everyone says, may I believe that I have no haters?”

Expressing how much the day means to him, he continued, “As I write this note today, I feel that tomorrow is perhaps the most crucial day of my life. Therefore, I request support from all of you who have been with me. ‘The Pet Detective’ is releasing tomorrow. I request all of you to go to the theatres and watch our film. Sincerely, your very own Sharafudheen.”

The film will star him in the lead along with Anupama Pararmeswaran. It is co-written by the director Praneesh Vijayan and Jai Vishnu. The music is done by Premam-fame Rajesh Murugesan, cinematography by Anend C Chandran and editing by Abhinav Sunder Nayak.
