Shah Rukh Khan, too, has made the iconic pandal a familiar stop during the festival over the years. On Monday evening, the superstar returned to seek Bappa’s blessings, this time with wife Gauri Khan and daughter Suhana Khan by his side.

Dressed in a classic navy blue kurta-pyjama and sporting a red tilak, Shah Rukh looked every bit the festive devotee as he made his way into the crowded pandal. Gauri chose a yellow ethnic ensemble, while Suhana arrived in green. The family offered prayers and stayed on for the evening aarti, with Shah Rukh also waving to the fans gathered outside.

The actor’s arrival brought considerable attention to the already bustling pandal, with fans gathering outside to catch a glimpse of the superstar. Shah Rukh was accompanied by tight security as he made his way through the crowds.

Inside, however, the focus was on the festivities. Shah Rukh, Gauri and Suhana took part in the darshan, with the actor seen offering prayers before the idol. He later joined the evening aarti, taking in the devotional atmosphere alongside his family.

The visit also gave fans a glimpse of Shah Rukh in a more traditional avatar. His navy blue kurta-pyjama, paired with the tilak on his forehead, kept the look simple for the festive occasion. Gauri’s yellow ethnic outfit and Suhana’s green traditional ensemble added to the family’s festive appearance.

A familiar Ganesh Chaturthi tradition for SRK

Shah Rukh’s appearance at Lalbaugcha Raja is hardly a one-off. The actor has regularly visited the famous Mumbai pandal around Ganesh Chaturthi, making his darshan a familiar part of the city’s annual celebrations.

In previous years, Shah Rukh has been spotted seeking blessings at Lalbaugcha Raja with members of his family. In 2023, he visited the pandal with his younger son AbRam, while he also made an appearance during the festival in 2024.

His return this year, with Gauri and Suhana, continues that tradition. The visit also comes amid the larger Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations across Mumbai, when some of the city’s most prominent Ganpati pandals see a steady stream of devotees and celebrity visitors.

For Shah Rukh, the annual visit has become one of those festive appearances that fans look forward to, particularly because it offers a glimpse of the actor away from the spotlight surrounding his film projects.

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’ is next

While Ganesh Chaturthi brought Shah Rukh to Lalbaugcha Raja, the actor is otherwise deep into preparations for his next big-screen outing, ‘King’.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action entertainer is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24, 2026. The film has attracted attention for its ensemble cast, which includes Shah Rukh alongside Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat and Arshad Warsi, among others.

The film is particularly significant for Shah Rukh and Suhana, as the father-daughter duo will share the screen. Suhana, who made her feature-film debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’, is part of the film’s cast, adding another layer of anticipation around the project.

‘King’ also marks Shah Rukh’s reunion with Siddharth Anand after their collaboration on ‘Pathaan’. While the makers have kept much of the story under wraps, the film is expected to be a large-scale action entertainer.
