In a surprising development, Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is reportedly preparing for her maiden venture into Malayalam cinema.

According to reports, the actress is likely to be cast alongside Mammootty in Gautham Vasudev Menon's upcoming Malayalam movie. 

While details remain scarce and official confirmation is yet to come out, the mere speculation of Samantha's entry into Malayalam cinema has sparked excitement among fans and industry insiders alike.

Known for her versatile performances and charismatic on-screen presence, Samantha has carved a niche for herself in Telugu and Tamil cinema, delivering several blockbuster hits and earning critical acclaim for her roles. 

Samantha recently featured alongside Mammootty in an advertisement, which later went viral on social media. Samantha and Gautham Menon had previously worked together in "Ye Maaya Chesave". 

On the professional front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, last seen in the film 'Kushi' opposite Vijay Deverakonda, is set to make a comeback to the silver screen after a hiatus of seven months. Recently, she launched her production house. She is also slated to star in the Indian adaptation of "Citadel" alongside Varun Dhawan. Directed by Raj and DK, "Citadel: Honey Bunny" promises a unique blend of spy action thriller elements and a heartfelt love story, all set against the vibrant backdrop of the 90s era.

Meanwhile, Anushka Shetty is also set to make her mark in Malayalam cinema with the highly anticipated fantasy thriller film, "Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer" alongside Jayasurya.
