Salman Khan knows how to own a stage, and this time, he did it by poking fun at himself. The Bollywood superstar left fans in splits during his appearance at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah when he casually declared that he doesn’t consider himself a great actor.

During an interactive session, the 59-year-old actor reflected on his decades-long journey in cinema, but instead of talking about blockbusters or stardom, Salman surprised everyone with his trademark humour. Asked about his acting style, he quipped, “Acting has also left this generation,” setting the tone for what followed.

Salman added with a smile, “I don’t think I’m some extraordinary actor. You can catch me doing anything, but you can’t catch me acting.” Explaining his process, he said it’s not acting; he simply goes with what he feels in the moment. “I just do what I feel like doing. That’s all,” he shrugged.

The audience wasn’t buying it. When the host asked fans if they agreed, the response was a loud “no.” Playing along, Salman cracked another joke: “Sometimes when I cry on screen, I feel like you all are laughing at me,” the audience shouted ‘Noooo!’ in unison.

The evening had another surprise in store when Salman crossed paths with Johnny Depp on the red carpet, turning the encounter into an internet-worthy moment.

Beyond the laughs and star power, Salman also spoke about his fondness for Saudi Arabia and the growing cultural exchange between global film industries. “I love it here. I like Saudi. A lot of people here like the culture. It's nice. I keep on visiting this place quite a bit nowadays. So it's good,” he said.
