Mumbai: The Mumbai Police have filed a charge sheet in the case of plotting to murder Bollywood star Salman Khan. In the incident related to the shooting that took place in front of the actor's house on April 14, a charge sheet was issued against the five accused under various sections. All the accused arrested in the case belong to the gang of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
On April 14, two men on a bike opened fire in front of Salman Khan's house in Bandra. After this, it became clear that Bishnoi had planned the firing incident with a plan to kill the actor. Subsequently, the accused in the case were arrested by the Navi Mumbai police.

According to the charge sheet, the Bishnoi gang had struck a deal with the accused for Rs 25 lakh to assassinate the actor. The accused had started planning the attack months ago. The planning, which was carried out in various phases since August 2023, culminated in the shooting incident that took place in April this year. Weapons were also acquired from Pakistan for the attack. According to the police, weapons for the attack were sourced from Pakistan, including AK-47 guns and a Turkish-made Zigana gun, the latter of which was used to kill Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
Apart from collecting weapons, the accused had also organised a large team to monitor Salman Khan. Around 70 people were assigned to monitor the actor's every move. The actor's house in Bandra, Mumbai; the farmhouse in Panvel; and Film City in Koregaon were all under the surveillance of the accused. The gang was recruiting people under the age of 18 to kill the actor. The charge sheet further states that the accused were waiting for instructions from Goldie Brar, Anmol Bishnoi, and other members of Lawrence Bishnoi's group to execute the attack.
