Palluruthi: The body of actress Lakshmika Sajeevan (27), who passed away in Sharjah, will arrive in Kerala later than expected due to technical reasons. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are holidays in Sharjah, and the necessary police formalities have yet to be completed. Efforts are underway to transport the deceased to Kerala after the conclusion of police procedures on Monday.

Currently, the body is preserved at Al Kasmiya Hospital in Sharjah. Lakshmika, employed at a private bank in Sharjah, resided in a rented house with her friend. When she experienced difficulty in breathing, her friend rushed her to the hospital, where doctors confirmed her death due to cardiac arrest.

Lakshmika, the daughter of Sajeevan residing at Palluruthi V.P. Sashi Road, gained recognition for her portrayal of 'Panchami' in the telefilm Kakka. She also played memorable roles in films such as "Yamandan Premakatha," "Panchavarna Thatha," "Saudi Velakka," "Puzhayamma," "Uyare," "Kuttanadan Blog," "Nithyaharitha Nayakan," and others. She also adorned small roles in various films.
