Beverly Hills: A frightening security breach occurred at the private estate of global superstar Rihanna on Sunday afternoon. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officials confirmed that a 30-year-old female suspect was arrested after allegedly firing multiple gunshots toward the singer’s Beverly Hills home.
According to the LAPD, officers responded to a "shots fired" call at approximately 1:15 p.m. local time. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement quickly located the female suspect and took her into custody without further incident.
Sources close to the investigation told TMZ that the woman drove up to the perimeter of the property before discharging several rounds in the direction of the residence. While a motive for the shooting remains unclear, police have successfully recovered the weapon used in the attack.
Was Rihanna home during the attack?
Conflicting reports initially surfaced regarding who was inside the mansion during the gunfire. However, law enforcement sources later told TMZ that Rihanna (Robyn Rihanna Fenty) was indeed at home at the time of the shooting. They also confirmed there were no injuries were reported.
It has not yet been confirmed if her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, or their three children- RZA, Riot Rose, and Rocki, were present during the incident.
