Actress Revathy Sampath has made serious allegations against veteran actor Siddique, accusing him of inappropriate behaviour and misconduct. In a candid revelation, she shared that her ordeal began when she was still in school. "I got in contact with actor Siddique during my 10+2 time," she recounted, explaining how the communication started innocently through what appeared to be a fake social media account. For two years, Siddique maintained contact with her, often addressing her as ‘daughter’. However, this seemingly benign relationship soon took a dark turn.

Revathy explained that Siddique was aware of her aspirations in acting, a fact that she believes he exploited. “He got to know that I am interested in acting, and he is a criminal; he must have planned everything,” she asserted. The actress recounted an incident where Siddique invited her to watch a preview, an invitation she accepted, bringing her parents along.

After asking her parents to leave, claiming she would join them after discussing the movie, Revathy was left alone with Siddique. “Everything looked professional at first. All of a sudden, his conversation turned sexual, and by the time I realised it was a trap, the door was locked,” she shared, describing the fear and helplessness she felt as Siddique allegedly assaulted her without her consent. She further said, “He physically assaulted me without my consent. I was numb. He even went for a press conference while I was locked. I tried to call somebody but nothing worked. He came back and assaulted me.”

Revathy further claimed that Siddique threatened her, stating that even if she spoke out about the assault, nobody would believe her. He allegedly told her that, “He could cast me for various movies but for every opportunity I would have to sleep with him and this is how everyone has come. I was mentally disturbed after that. I went through a lot. I lost my self-esteem and I blamed myself, I felt I did something wrong,” she confessed, adding that she was subsequently labelled as a ‘troublemaker’ and ‘attention seeker’ by others.

In her pursuit of justice, Revathy sought help but found herself alone, with no support groups available. "I had sought help but I did not receive any support. No support groups were there for me. I did move legally once, but I can't go through it again. If you can give us security and we don’t have to pay the price of our dreams, then we can come forward with all the evidence. Siddique sent me messages on Messenger and WhatsApp, but do we have the security needed to pursue this?"
