Actor Ravi Mohan, formerly known as Jayam Ravi, is reportedly planning to venture into direction after completing two successful decades in the film industry.

Reports indicate that the actor-turned-director's debut film will begin production in July this year, with a comedy genre at its core.

Sources suggest that the film will feature actor Yogi Babu in a leading role. Yogi Babu, who previously worked with Ravi Mohan in the 2019 hit 'Comali', is expected to play an important role in this upcoming project.

The film is expected to bring together their successful collaboration once again.

Ravi Mohan made headlines earlier this year when he announced a change in his name, opting to be called Ravi Mohan from now on.

Along with his new name, he launched a production banner titled 'Ravi Mohan Studios'. However, it remains unclear whether his directorial debut will be produced under this banner.

On the work front, Ravi Mohan last appeared in a leading role in 'Kadhalikka Neramillai'. His upcoming films include 'Karathey Babu' and 'Parasakthi', which are highly anticipated by his fans.
