Mumbai: The box office has a new king, and his name is Hamza Ali Mazari. Aditya Dhar’s high-octane spy thriller, Dhurandhar: The Revenge (popularly trending as Dhurandhar 2), is currently witnessing a historic "dream run" that has sent shockwaves through the global film industry. After a massive opening, the film delivered a staggering jump on Day 3, solidifying its status as a certified blockbuster. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film raked in a mind-boggling ₹113 crore nett in India on Saturday alone, pushing its three-day domestic total to an incredible ₹339.27 crore.

The momentum for this Ranveer Singh starrer has been relentless since its Thursday debut. The film opened with a bang at ₹102.55 crore, followed by a solid ₹80.72 crore on Friday, before hitting its peak on Saturday. This trajectory indicates exceptional word-of-mouth and "housefull" boards across multiplexes and single screens alike. Fans are hailing Aditya Dhar’s vision, noting that the sequel has managed to surpass the massive hype of the original Dhurandhar, which itself sits among the top grossers of all time.

Dhurandhar 2 has already breached the ₹500 crore mark worldwide in its opening weekend. With an estimated overseas gross of ₹96.50 crore, the total global collection currently stands at approximately ₹501.04 crore.

This global surge suggests that Dhurandhar: The Revenge is on a collision course with the elite ₹2,000 crore club, a milestone currently guarded only by Aamir Khan’s Dangal.

Directed and produced by the visionary Aditya Dhar, the film features Ranveer Singh in a career-defining role as the Indian spy Hamza Ali Mazari. The narrative follows Hamza as he infiltrates Pakistan's most dangerous criminal-terror networks, a plot that has resonated deeply with the "mass" audience. The powerhouse ensemble cast—including R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun—has added immense weight to the thriller. As #Dhurandhar2 continues to trend at the top of social media charts, the industry is watching closely to see if this spy saga will become the highest-grossing Indian film in history.
