Actor Ranveer Singh has reportedly been barred by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) following an escalating dispute linked to his abrupt exit from Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar.
The matter, which has been under internal review for some time, was formally taken up last week.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a non-cooperation directive against actor Ranveer Singh following a complaint related to his alleged last-minute withdrawal from the film Don 3.
According to a letter cited in the matter, the action comes after the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) forwarded a complaint regarding Singh’s exit from the project, originally directed by Farhan Akhtar.
The complaint was reportedly filed by Akhtar on 11 April 2026, after which the issue was escalated to FWICE for further action and intervention.
In its communication, FWICE said it had taken “serious cognisance” of the allegations and decided to enforce the directive as part of its disciplinary framework within the film industry.
