New Delhi: Rajinikanth’s Coolie witnessed a good turnaround in second weekend. The film’s domestic collection has now touched ₹256.75 crore across all languages.

What’s the update?

Released on Independence Day, Coolie earned ₹229.65 crore in its opening week, including ₹149.95 crore from the Tamil market, according to Sacnilk. Over its second weekend, the film added more than ₹20 crore, with ₹10.5 crore on Saturday and ₹10.75 crore on Sunday.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the film continues to perform strongly in Tamil-speaking regions but has failed to gain momentum in the Hindi belt.

Coolie also became Rajinikanth’s biggest-ever opener, though it fell short of surpassing Leo by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay, which holds the Tamil cinema opening-day record at ₹66 crore.
