Kochi: Alankrita Menon Prithviraj, the 11-year-old daughter of actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran and producer Supriya Menon, is rapidly carving out her own niche in the Indian film industry. Following her vocal contribution to the Mohanlal-starrer ‘L2: Empuraan’, Alankrita has returned to the recording studio as a playback singer for the newly released psychological thriller ‘I, Nobody’.

Directed by Nisam Basheer and starring Prithviraj in the lead, ‘I, Nobody’ features a crucial track titled ‘Circus’, an English song voiced by Alankrita, written by Zeeba Tomy, and composed by hitmaker Jakes Bejoy.

A heartwarming family moment in studio

The makers recently released a behind-the-scenes making video of the track, capturing an endearing family moment. Before stepping up to the microphone, Alankrita is seen sharing a warm embrace with her parents. The 3-minute-32-second video showcases a proud Supriya filming her daughter from outside the glass console, while Prithviraj is seen offering gentle guidance. The track plays during a pivotal, narrative-defining sequence in the film.

‘A rare young talent’: Composer Jakes Bejoy

Music director Jakes Bejoy also shared his excitement about collaborating with the young prodigy, whom he has known since childhood. Praising her effortless musicality, Jakes noted that Alankrita picked up the track instantly, commending Prithviraj and Supriya for nurturing her artistic journey with such deep sincerity.

This marks Alankrita's second major foray into playback singing. She previously rendered a segment for the track 'Empuraane', composed by Deepak Dev, for her father's directorial venture ‘L2: Empuraan’.
