Thiruvananthapuram: The 4th Prem Nazir Film Awards organised by Prem Nazir Suhruth Samithi along with Udaya Samudra was announced. Jayasurya starrer 'Vellam' directed by Prajesh Sen, was selected as the best film. Prajesh Sen was also won the award for the best director.  

Actor Indrans won the best actor award for his performance in the feel-good movie, 'Home'. Nimisha Sajayan was selected as the best actress for her performance in 'Nayattu' and 'Malik'. Meantime, veteran actress Ambika will be honoured with the Prem Nazir Film Lifetime Achievement Award.

 Best Lyricist: Prabha Varma (Songs: Ilaveyil ..., Movie: 'Marakkar-Arabikadalinte Simham', Kanneer Kadalil ...., Movie: 'Uru')
 Best Music: Ronnie Raphael (Movie: 'Marakkar-Arabikadalinte Simham')
 Best Singer: Santosh (Movie: 'Kaval', Song: Karmegham Moodunnu)
 Best Singer: Subha Raghunath (Movie: 'Thee', Song: Neela Kurinjik)

The award ceremony will be held on March 10 in Thiruvananthapuram.
