The upcoming horror-comedy ‘Prakambanam’, featuring Ganapathi and Sagar Surya in lead roles, has begun building momentum online with the release of its latest lyrical track, ‘Thalla Vibe’. The song dropped on Wednesday and quickly sparked widespread engagement across social media platforms.

Composed by Bibin Ashok, ‘Thalla Vibe’ is performed by Pranavam Sasi and Pushpavathy, with lyrics written by Vinayak Sasikumar. The peppy, youth-centred number has been praised for its energetic delivery and catchy arrangement, adding to the growing anticipation surrounding the film.

‘Prakambanam’ is jointly produced by Navarasa Films and Stone Bench Studios, the banner founded by filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. Subbaraj earlier said he signed on to the project after being convinced that the film–designed entirely within the horror-comedy genre–would offer uninterrupted entertainment.

The film is directed by Vijesh Panathur, known for ‘Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna’, who also developed the story. The screenplay and dialogue are written by newcomer Sreehari Vadakkan. Set primarily in a men’s hostel in Kochi, with additional locations in Kannur, the narrative centres on the humour and chaos of hostel life. Sheethal Joseph appears as the female lead.

The production includes an extensive ensemble cast featuring Ameen, Kalabhavan Navas, Rajesh Madhavan, Mallika Sukumaran, Azees Nedumangad, P. P. Kunhikrishnan, Gayathri Satish, Lal Jose and Prashanth Alexander, among others.

Behind the scenes, Shankar Sharma composes the background score, while Alby Antony handles cinematography. Publicity design is managed by Yellow Tooth, with Obscura Entertainment overseeing digital promotions.

The film is expected to reach cinemas soon.
