Police raids actor Vinayakan’s flat, seizes his phone

Kochi: A team of police led by Ernakulam North CI raided popular actor Vinayakan’s flat in Kaloor. The officials seized the mobile phone which the actor had used for making “derogatory” comments against deceased Congress stalwart Oommen Chandy. The actor had later deleted the video which was posted on his social media account. 

Earlier, Vinayan had himself lodged a complaint with the police, when a group of people attacked his flat, after his video had gone viral. But during the interrogation, the actor is known to have said to the people that he is dropping the complaint, as he holds no grudge against anyone. He said that he is ready to forgive the miscreants like how Chandy Oommen and his family had forgiven him for his act.

Eventhough Vinayan was summoned in the case yesterday, he had informed the police that he would not be available citing medical reasons. The police in response had given him three-days time to appear for quizzing.
