Kozhikode: A POCSO case has been filed against actor Koottickal Jayachandran following a molestation complaint. The Kasaba police registered the case after the child's mother alleged that Jayachandran molested her four-year-old daughter. According to the complaint, Jayachandran exploited family disputes to torture the child.

Acting on instructions from the District Child Protection Unit, the police recorded the child's statement at her home. The investigation is ongoing.
