
New Delhi: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking to cancel the Kerala State Film Awards, 2022. The petition was filed by Lijeesh Mullezhath, director of ‘Aakaashathinu Thazhe’, alleging bias over the determination of awards.
As per the plea, jury members themselves have ‘revealed’ about external interference in the selection of awards. It also alleged nepotism and irregular intervention over the awards. Earlier, the Kerala High Court had rejected the plea filed by Lijeesh in this regard.

Meanwhile, the 69th National Film Awards will be announced on Thursday at 5 pm at a press conference in New Delhi.
