The world of Hindi cinema’s comedy-drama space is set to get livelier with ‘Parivarik ManuRanjan’, an upcoming family entertainer starring Pankaj Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles. With the film now officially on the floors, excitement is building among fans and industry insiders alike.

As the anticipation increases for the film, fans are excited about the fresh pairing of versatile Pankaj and elegant Aditi.

The filming for ‘Parivarik ManuRanjan’ commenced on Thursday in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Fresh glimpses from the sets of the movie were also released by the makers that show Aditi in a light yellow-coloured salwar suit and Pankaj in a beige kurta pyjama, paired with a bundi jacket.

What is the film about?

As per the makers, ‘Parivarik ManuRanjan' is an unconventional love story set in the beautiful backdrop of Lucknow’s culture and heritage. The film promises to deliver a blend of love, laughter, and chaos while also reflecting on Indian family values.

Touted to be a comedy drama, ‘Parivarik ManuRanajan’ will also be high on music and will cater to audiences of every age, making it perfect for a family watch. While the makers have announced their leading pair, information about their supporting cast is still awaited.

So, what made the two actors sign up for the movie? To this, Pankaj shared, “There was something so charmingly simple and yet irresistibly funny about the script that I couldn’t say no. It’s the kind of story that sneaks up on you with its warmth.”

Aditi also had something similar to share, as she said, “When I read the script, I smiled through it. For me, it’s rare to come across a story in this universe. The situational comedy, the twists and the unexpected turns, and more importantly, the warmth and simplicity that is the heart of the story.

Meet the captain of the ship and its crew

‘Parivarik ManuRanjan’ will be directed by Varun V Sharma, best known for directing ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’, featuring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji.

Varun has also co-written Salman Khan-starrer ‘Bharat’ with Ali Abbas Zafar and was in the script department of ‘Sultan’. Other than helming the project, Varun has also co-written the movie with Brijendra Kala.

The film is backed by Vinod Bhanushali and Himanshu Mehra, with Ali Abbas Zafar joining as the creative producer. It also marks a strategic partnership between Bhanushali Studios Limited and AAZ Films.
