Mumbai: Sridevi, widely regarded as one of the greatest actresses in Indian cinema, has left an indelible mark with her performances in films across various languages. However, her daughter, Khushi Kapoor, has revealed that she was not allowed to watch her mother’s films growing up.

In a recent interview promoting her upcoming film Loveyapa, Khushi opened up about her childhood experiences and her relationship with Sridevi. When asked whether she had watched most of Sridevi’s films, Khushi explained that her mother had never permitted her to watch her own films at home.

“I wasn’t allowed to watch most of my mother’s films. It was a bit of a challenge because she used to get a little shy. So, Janhvi and I had to secretly watch her movies, in a room, away from the rest of the family,” Khushi revealed with a smile. “We used to watch her films secretly, and I’ve seen many of them. But all of it was done secretly, as she didn’t want us to see them.”

Khushi Kapoor is the younger of the two daughters of Sridevi and filmmaker Boney Kapoor. The actress is all set to make her acting debut opposite Junaid Khan in the upcoming film Loveyapa, produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, with Advait Chandan at the helm as the director. The film is slated for release on February 7.

Fans of the late actress will undoubtedly find Khushi's candidness refreshing as she steps into the industry her mother once ruled with an iconic legacy.
