Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, JioHotstar, SonyLIV and ZEE5 are bringing a diverse lineup of titles across languages and genres.

Here is a look at the OTT releases to watch this week:

Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya

‘Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya’ follows Gyaneshwar Tiwari, played by Kay Kay Menon, a headmaster who takes charge of a struggling government school. The seven-episode series explores his efforts to transform the institution while dealing with challenges involving teachers, students and a system that requires deeper changes. The series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 24.

Con City

‘Con City’ revolves around four con artists – Saravanan, Mithra, Jackie and Janaki – who disguise themselves as a regular middle-class family while secretly operating a small hotel in Mulki, Karnataka. The Tamil film combines elements of a heist story with family drama and will be available in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. ‘Con City’ will stream on Netflix from July 24.

The Truthers

‘The Truthers’ is a psychological thriller centred on Ruth, who returns to her hometown following her mother’s sudden death. As she attempts to reconnect with her grieving father, she discovers his growing obsession with conspiracy theories and increasingly unpredictable behaviour, forcing her to revisit everything she believed about her family. The series arrives on Netflix on July 24.

The Dink

‘The Dink’ follows former tennis player Dusty “The Hammer” Boyd, played by Jake Johnson, whose plans for a comeback are disrupted after a career-ending injury. He enters the competitive world of professional pickleball in an attempt to save his estranged father’s struggling country club. The sports drama will premiere on Apple TV+ on July 24.

Ego Raman

‘Ego Raman’ tells the story of Arivu, a dedicated TNPSC aspirant whose life revolves around a Yamaha bike gifted by his mother. When financial struggles force his family to give up the vehicle, Arivu begins a mission to reclaim it, but his search leads him into a dangerous encounter with a ruthless killer. The Tamil film will release on Amazon Prime Video on July 24.

Chinna Chinna Aasai

‘Chinna Chinna Aasai’ follows Leela, a reserved woman from Thanjavur who gets separated from her group during a spiritual trip to Varanasi and loses her belongings. Stranded in an unfamiliar city, she receives help from Madhavan Master, a cheerful Kerala-based schoolteacher. As they spend a day exploring the city’s streets and ghats, an unexpected connection develops between them. The film will be available on JioHotstar from July 28.

Final Project

‘Final Project’ is a Mexican teen suspense drama that follows Tamara, a student hoping for a fresh start at a new school. Her plans take a disturbing turn when she becomes the target of online harassment and gets drawn into a dangerous challenge created by a classmate. As hidden truths emerge, Tamara’s life begins to change in unexpected ways. The film premieres on Netflix on July 29.

The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare

‘The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare’ is a true-crime documentary series examining the 2022 killings of four University of Idaho students. The series explores the investigation, evidence, unanswered questions and the impact of the case on the victims’ families and the wider college community. The documentary series will stream on Netflix from July 29.

The Devil’s Mouth

‘The Devil’s Mouth’ follows a group of college friends whose holiday in Thailand turns into a terrifying fight for survival when they become trapped inside underwater caves with a dangerous predator. As their oxygen supply begins to run out, tensions and hidden conflicts surface while they search for a way out. The survival thriller arrives on Amazon Prime Video on July 29.

The Devil Wears Prada 2

Set two decades after the original film, ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ explores the changing landscape of digital media and the challenges facing the fashion industry. The sequel follows Andrea Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, as she returns to Runway magazine as its new features editor after losing her job during a mass lay-off. She reunites with Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) and Nigel Kipling (Stanley Tucci) to help the publication recover from a major public relations crisis. Balan: The Boy

‘Balan: The Boy’ is a Malayalam psychological mystery thriller written by Jithu Madhavan and directed by Chidambaram. Starring Adhisheshan, Farzana Palathingal and Tovino Thomas in a pivotal role, the film follows a young boy searching for answers about his missing mother while uncovering hidden truths about his past. Featuring music by Sushin Shyam, the film releases on ZEE5 on July 31.

The Legend of Karna
