“Eventually, you will have to make a lot of sacrifices...,” the actor reflected on life.

Continuing his endeavors on the racing track, Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar, popularly known as ‘Thala,’ recently participated in the coveted 24-hour Creventic Series in Barcelona, adding another chapter to his illustrious career.
However, what is now doing the rounds on the internet are Ajith’s candid revelations about his personal life in an interview with India Today.
In the conversation, while talking about the love of his life—his wife, yesteryear actor Shalini—Thala Ajith Kumar praised her commitment to managing familial affairs while he is away juggling his fascinating career.
“There’s so much that Shalini is managing on her own. Without her constant support, I wouldn’t be able to handle any of this," he shared, highlighting her role in parenting and managing their home.
Talking about his kids, Ajith said that his son Aadvik recently turned ten and a half years old, and his daughter Anoushka has just begun her undergraduate studies.
Reflecting on how he misses his children while he is away from home, he said, “There are things that are never seen or understood. I miss them as much as they miss me. But eventually, you will have to make a lot of sacrifices while chasing your passion,” the Kollywood superstar added.
Recently, a video went viral where Shalini could be seen touching Ajith's feet while the actor applied a bindi on her forehead. After tying the knot in 2002, the duo remains one of the most celebrated couples in the film industry.
Shalini has often shown support for her husband by attending racing events he participated in. In the interview, Ajith also stated how even his son is a motorsport enthusiast.
He revealed that his son Aadvik Kumar has started go-karting, though not at a serious level yet.
Shalini was once one of the most sought-after actors in South India. She has starred alongside several top actors, including Vijay (in Kadhalukku Mariyadhai and Kannukkul Nilavu).
Ajith and Shalini fell in love on the sets of Amarkalam in 1999. The care and affection they have for each other continue to flourish.
Meanwhile, Ajith was last seen in the blockbuster movie Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran (who has also directed films including Mark Antony). Reports suggest that Kollywood’s favorite Thala is set to feature in another movie by the same director, raising expectations among his fans.
