Kochi: Actor Nivin Pauly on Tuesday dismissed sexual assault allegations levelled against him. He claimed that he did not know or have spoken to the woman involved and described the allegations as baseless.
Besides denying the accusations, he urged media outlets to conduct thorough research before publishing such claims.
He also vowed to fight legally and prove his innocence. "Everyone should be able to live without fear of false accusations. I am speaking out for everyone, as accusations can be made against anyone," he said.
Pauly also revealed that he received a call from a Circle Inspector (CI) at Oonnukal station about a month and a half ago, where he clarified the allegations were false. He alleged that there might be a conspiracy behind the allegations.
Pauly stated that he did not know the complainant and expressed his willingness to fully cooperate with both the police. "I want the truth to come out. I am not going anywhere, and I will fully cooperate," he asserted.
The actor also suggested that there may be a larger conspiracy behind the allegations.
