The Ambani family is gearing up for the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Before this, pre-wedding celebrations were held in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and on a luxury ship in Italy. Nita Ambani has now shared the interesting story behind naming her elder children -- Akash and Isha.
Nita gave birth to twins Isha and Akash in America. Mukesh Ambani was on a plane at that time. He had just landed in India when he was informed that he needed to urgently travel to America. Ambani boarded a flight to America with his mother Kokilaben Ambani.
However, before they reached America, Nita gave birth to the twins. Mukesh Ambani was informed about the delivery by the pilot of the plane he was traveling in. He was told that Nita had given birth to a boy and a girl.

Later, when the matter of naming the children came up, his flight journey was the first thing that came to Ambani's mind. He learned the news of becoming a father while sitting on the plane, enjoying the view of the mountains below. Thus, the baby girl was named Isha, meaning 'goddess of mountains'. The boy was named Akash because he became a father during his journey through the sky.
Akash and Isha were born in 1991. After seven years of marriage, Mukesh and Nita Ambani had children through IVF treatment. Once again, the Ambani family welcomed twins when Isha gave birth to twins in 2022. They were also born in America. Isha named the boy Krishna and the girl Aadiya.
