Box Office hit 'Lokah': Kalyani Priyadarshan reflects on success, shares father's guiding words

Chennai: As Lokah crosses the ₹200 crore mark at the box office in just 13 days, actress Kalyani Priyadarshan celebrated the milestone by sharing a heartfelt WhatsApp message from her father, veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan. Alongside a series of behind-the-scenes photos, Kalyani posted a screenshot of their chat, where her father offered wise advice following her film’s success.
In the message, Priyadarshan wrote, “Remember one thing in your mind… never erase this message. Success should never go to your head and failure should never go to your heart, chakkare. This is the best advice I can ever give you. Love you, good nit.”
Kalyani replied: “Yes Acha (Dad), always. Love you.”
The touching exchange struck a chord with fans, many of whom praised the veteran director for his grounded perspective. Actor Santhy Balachandran commented, “Your dad’s message is the best. Onwards and upwards,” while another user wrote, “Priyadarshan sir’s message.
The screenshot was part of a celebratory post shared by Kalyani on Instagram, marking the massive success of Lokah.
Expressing her gratitude to the audience, she wrote, “Yesterday, our film reached a number that was only possible because of you, the audience. I’m beyond speechless and truly grateful for the love being showered on this film,” she wrote.
She added, “In our industry, content has always been king, the biggest star of all — and once again, you’ve proved that stories with vision will always find their place with you. Thank you for giving us the chance to show that.”
Kalyani also acknowledged director Dominic Arun for his inspiring vision and thanked the entire cast and crew.
