The director of the 2023 superhit film ‘Jailer’, Nelson Dilipkumar, is all set to start his own production house named ‘Filament Pictures in the film industry. 

Nelson announced the plans via his social media handles on Wednesday evening. He also revealed that the details of his first project under the production house will be revealed on Friday. 

He noted that he intends to pursue fresh and interesting subjects with wonderful stories under his brand.

His statement read, “My journey in the media and entertainment industry started when I was 20 years old. Over the years, there have been several ups and downs that have contributed to my growth in this industry. Amidst it all, owning a production company has always been my constant wish, and today I'm thrilled to announce the launch of my very own production company, 'Filament Pictures'! At Filament Pictures, our primary goal is to produce creative and interesting content that entertains a wider audience. We're kicking off with a project that perfectly embodies our vision and promises to be quirky and fun-filled. Stay tuned for our first project announcement on May 3rd. Thank you for your support!”

The director’s first movie was ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’, starring Nayanthara. His latest release ‘Jailer’ grossed over Rs 650 crore worldwide. The director is now said to be working on the sequel of the super hit movie. Although official announcements are yet to be made.
