The much-anticipated sequel to the 2020 hit Mookuthi Amman, directed by R.J. Balaji and N.J. Saravanan, has hit a bump in its production. Mookuthi Amman 2, directed by Sundar C., officially began filming on March 6 with a pooja ceremony, but reports now suggest that the shooting has faced some uncertainty due to a dispute on set.

According to reports, a disagreement between Nayanthara and the assistant director over her role led to tensions. It is claimed that the actor scolded the assistant director, creating a tense atmosphere on set. In response, Sundar C. intervened, reportedly halting the shoot to resolve the issue.

There have also been rumours circulating that Nayanthara might be replaced in the film. Some reports suggest that the makers were considering bringing in Tamannaah Bhatia for the lead role instead. However, it is now reported that the producer, Ishari K. Ganesh, stepped in to mediate the situation. The producer reportedly spoke to Nayanthara, and after discussions, an agreement was reached, allowing the shooting to resume.

With the issue reportedly resolved, the production of Mookuthi Amman 2 is back on track, and fans are eagerly awaiting the continuation of the beloved story.
