The trailer of ‘Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew’, directed by Greta Gerwig, has been unveiled, giving fans a closer look at the highly anticipated adaptation of C. S. Lewis’ classic fantasy novel. Filled with mystery, magic and the promise of an extraordinary adventure, the film explores how the enchanting world of Narnia came into existence.

The trailer introduces audiences to David McKenna as young Digory Kirke and Beatrice Campbell as Polly Plummer, whose journey leads them into a world beyond their imagination. The cast also features Emma Mackey as Jadis, the character who becomes the White Witch, and Daniel Craig as Uncle Andrew. Carey Mulligan, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith and Meryl Streep are also part of the ensemble, bringing together a mix of emerging talent and established performers.

Gerwig, best known for directing the global blockbuster ‘Barbie’, takes on Lewis’ much-loved fantasy universe with this new adaptation. An earlier first look at the film offered a glimpse of its visual world, including Jadis alongside Digory and Polly in a striking red-tinted setting. The newly released trailer expands on that glimpse, revealing more of the characters and the magical landscape at the heart of the story.

Published in 1955, ‘The Magician’s Nephew’ is the sixth book in ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ series by publication order, but its events take place before those of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’. The story traces the origins of Narnia, exploring the events surrounding the creation of the magical land and the beginnings of its extraordinary history.

The film is produced by Netflix and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing International. ‘Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew’ is scheduled to release in Indian theatres on February 12, 2027.
