Fans of the globally adored sitcom ‘Friends’ are in for a treat as the internationally acclaimed FRIENDS Experience is set to arrive in India for the very first time. After travelling through major cities including New York, London and Las Vegas, the immersive attraction is ready to open its doors in Mumbai this June.

The large-scale event, created by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, Original X Productions and Warner Bros. Television Group, will be hosted at Jio World Gardens. The India edition marks a significant milestone for the franchise, bringing local audiences an opportunity to walk through some of the show’s most iconic moments. 

Dates, venue and what to expect

The FRIENDS Experience will officially open in Mumbai on June 13, 2026, at Jio World Gardens, offering an interactive journey through recreated sets and beloved scenes from the hit series. Another version of the announcement states that the attraction will be accessible on June 12 and 13 from 11 am onwards, as part of the pop-up’s global tour, which has already reached more than 33 cities since its launch in 2019.

Designed for die-hard fans, the walkthrough experience invites visitors to step into Monica’s colour-coded apartment, relax in Chandler and Joey’s recliners, and explore several meticulously crafted set pieces. Attendees will also find replica costumes, memorable props and behind-the-scenes elements that bring the sitcom’s universe to life.

Among the highlights are recreations of some of the series’ most unforgettable scenes, including a chance to attempt Ross’s famous “Pivot!” moment and pose beside the iconic fountain seen in the show’s opening credits.

At the centre of the experience is a fully realised Central Perk setup, complete with the signature orange couch, offering fans the perfect nostalgia-filled photo opportunity.

Organisers speak

The India debut is being produced locally by District, in collaboration with the international creators. Celebrating the show’s enduring cross-generational appeal, Stacy Moscatelli, CEO of Original X Productions, said, “FRIENDS has always been about connection, the kind that goes beyond borders, generations, and time zones. Bringing The FRIENDS Experience to India for the first time is a milestone we've been working toward, and there's no better place to make our debut than Mumbai.”

How to book tickets

Ticket sales for the FRIENDS Experience will begin at 12 pm IST on May 22, 2026, exclusively through the District app. Visitors planning early bookings will also be able to avail special savings. As stated by organisers, HSBC credit cardholders can save 10 per cent, which is up to ₹500, on transactions worth ₹3,000 or more.

Another announcement notes that “Particular credit card holders” will receive a discount of up to ₹500 for purchases above ₹3,000, offering an additional incentive to secure early entry.

For fans who once imagined themselves walking through the purple door or sinking into the orange couch at Central Perk, this long-awaited experience finally brings the beloved sitcom’s world to life, right in the heart of Mumbai.
