Actress Seema G Nair has informed that her friend actress Saranya who is battling cancer is in a critical condition. She was rushed to a private hospital due to pneumonia after contracting COVID-19. It is reported that she remains in critical condition at the hospital for the past 36 days.

Seema G Nair revealed about Saranya’s condition through a video uploaded on YouTube. Saranya’s family is struggling to meet the expenditure at the private hospital. They have no idea how to handle the situation, said Seema.

Saranya was admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on May 23. Her condition worsened after testing COVID positive and she was put on ventilator support. She tested negative for COVID on June 10. Later, she was shifted to the room. But, her temperature shot up suddenly and she was shifted to ventilator ICU.

She suffered breathing problems and it was not possible to administer oxygen through the mouth. Hence, she had undergone Tracheotomy. Now, oxygen is being given directly through the throat. So, she can't talk as the tube is implanted on her throat.

During the treatment, she suffered pneumonia and her condition is very critical, Seema G Nair explained Saranya’s condition. Expensive antibiotics are taken for the treatment. Now, bedsores started to appear on her body. Blood infection also affected her health.

Doctors are also trying their maximum to save her. She might need oxygen support even after discharging from the hospital. Amidst this, chemotherapy also was started in the same hospital as it is impossible to take her to the RCC. 

“Please keep her in your prayers. It is really a miracle that she is trying to come back to life by battling with so many diseases,” added Seema. Saranya is currently admitted in the ICU for expert medical care.
