
Chennai: National award-winning art director and costume designer P Krishnamoorthy passed away here on Sunday. He was 77.
He has worked in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Sanskrit, Malayalam and English movies.
According to reports, his last rites will be performed at his residence in Madipakkam on Monday.
The veteran has won three national awards for best art direction and two for best costume design. He has also bagged Kerala state film award five times.
'Vaishali', 'Parinayam', 'Gazal', and 'Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha' are his Malayalam movies in which he worked as an art director.
He is popular for Bharathiraja’s ‘Nadodi Thendral and Balu Mahendra’s ‘Vanna Vanna Pookkal’ in Tamil.
